Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson has been involved in various projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the early 1970ies. The first digital switch as well as the first mobile system (NMT) was delivered to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia as an AU has been benchmarked within the MUME and globally for several years as the no 1 unit demonstrating solid growth in orders and sales. Due to the humongous business prospects and growth of opportunities in Saudi Arabia, it has been decided to transform this successful AU to a separate MU in 2007. The split from MUME will officially take place starting Jan 2008.

A total of more than 800 employees are working in the MU. This Long-term Assignment is within the Networks BNET team, which serves two large Mobile Operators in the Kingdom, with an excess of 22M subscribers in their network. The purpose of this position is to ensure that Ericsson provides proactive innovative and competitive technical solutions for our existing and prospect Customers. Furthermore, this position will support our Customers Management Team with technical support in opportunity, tender, implementation and support activities.
