2. Job Responsibilities / Duties
2.1. Performing supervised ART service in accordance with the center’s policy and procedure.
2.2. Assisting in the provision of training to junior embryology staff.
2.3. Explaining to patients the various methods of ART when requested.
2.4. Ensuring proper laboratory environment for daily ART work (cleanliness, asepsis, etc)
2.5. Performing routine work daily and on weekends in the IVF laboratory according to set work rotation.
2.6. Covering routine work of other laboratory staff when the latter is not available, on leave or absent.
2.7. Assisting the senior technologists and/or the Director of IVF laboratory maintain laboratory records and data for routine statistics.
2.8. Assisting the senior technologists and/or the Director of IVF laboratory prepare reports.
2.9. Performing patients’ oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer, IUI, semen analysis, testicular biopsy and other relevant clinical procedures with staff of the center.
2.10. Assisting in the performance of supervised routine quality control procedures.
2.11. Familiarizing himself/herself with all the equipment’s/instruments and maintain their proper function with the collaboration of the Biomedical Engineering Department.
2.12. Maintaining a working knowledge of embryo physiology and culture.
2.13. Keeping abreast of latest developments in ART.
2.14. Assisting in the conduct of approved research investigation and studies.
2.15. Assisting the senior technologists and/or the Director of IVF Laboratory ensure supplies of laboratory consumables and disposables.
2.16. Performing any other duties when directed, assigned or instructed by the senior technologists and/or the Director of IVF laboratory.
