Planning Engineer
Usually situated within an engineering/maintenance team, develops activity plans for projects or operations and monitors plans on an on-going basis to ensure activity schedules/project plans are being adhered to.
Typial Day/Duties.
Collects data necessary to compile long and short term activity plans.
Produces plans using specialist planning software/systems.
Identifies/highlights planning clashes or interfaces and works with the team to resolve issues.
Ensures plans are updated/issued on a regular basis.
Analyses and summarises activities and produces reports on progress.
Attends planning, engineering and operations meetings.
Reviews outstanding jobs/work scopes.
Liaises with engineering/operations personnel to ensure availability of materials and vendors to meet plan dates.
May be required to visit offshore.

Basic entry requirements include (necessary)
Minimum HNC or equivalent in suitable discipline or relevant experience
Experience in a planning role, preferably within the oil and gas industry
Familiar with specialist/industry planning software and systems
Good planning and organisational skills
