· Establish the overall trade marketing strategy in alignment with the Brand strategy by channel in order to accomplish annual sale and profitability targets
· A fundamental aspect of a TM is to establish oneself as a communication bridge between Sales and Marketing ensuring that the functional objectives are parallel to the overall corporate objective.
· Contributes to the development of the annual BD agreements along with the Sales team, ensuring that the Brand Teams objectives are assimilated into the agreements to ensure that Sunbulah’s positioning in a given retail environment is according to the overall strategy
· Designs a robust promotional plan by channel making sure that it is in accordance to the promotional strategy as aligned with the Brand team in order to achieve the desired market share/ volume and value targets.
· Develops a full understanding of retail audit data analysis, in order to interpret the change in shares between the periodic as well as Moving Annual Total readings and from this suggest/recommend comprehensive solutions to recover any loss in shares ensuring the protection of overall brand volume and value shares
· Prepares a comprehensive budget by channel in accordance to the annual plans in order to ensure available funds for trade marketing activities and monitor such activities against the budget so that any areas of poor performance can be dealt with and corrected in a timely manner
· Oversees the development and ensures execution of all the brand/product related Point of Sales materials and displays across all trade channels to ensure that all materials are aligned with the Sunbulah brand and support the achievement of below the line plans
· Leverage the Global Brand Positioning and solidify the company's superiority through customers in their outlets in order to achieve the overall brand goals
· Train & develop the on-field Merchandising team and ensure excellence when it comes to execution of Trade marketing plans. In addition to this providing the merchandising team with required supporting tools such as Planograms (Display Plan), pricing machines, uniforms, cleaning material etc. to ensure smooth implementation across all channels
· Ensure all required trade fundamentals are in place across all sales channels and develop a mechanism to systematically monitor them from time to time in order to achieve annual sales targets and ensure execution excellence
· To act as a primary source of information on competition and their trade activities in order to enable the brand team to react/retaliate with a robust plan to overcome any threat posed by the competition
· Identify and secure any business development opportunity across various sales channels in order to maximize the sales & distribution along with improving the overall value & volume shares of the brands
