The SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Consultant will be responsible for the design, configuration, and implementation of the SAP SD module to meet the business requirements of our clients. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and other SAP functional consultants to ensure the successful deployment and support of SAP SD solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Analysis:
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand their sales and distribution processes and requirements.
- Document and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP SD functional specifications.
Configuration and Customization:
- Configure the SAP SD module to meet the business requirements, including sales order processing, pricing, billing, shipping, and delivery processes.
- Customize SAP SD settings and develop enhancements to optimize system performance and functionality.
Implementation and Integration:
- Lead or participate in SAP SD module implementation projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
- Integrate SAP SD with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, FI, PP) and third-party systems to ensure seamless end-to-end business processes.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute test plans to validate the functionality and performance of the SAP SD module.
- Identify and resolve defects and issues during the testing phases.
User Training and Support:
- Provide training to end-users on SAP SD processes and functionalities.
- Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting to resolve user issues and enhance system utilization.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals.
- Generate reports and analyze data to support business decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 3-5+ years) as an SAP SD Consultant or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP SD module configuration and customization.
- Familiarity with integration points between SAP SD and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, FI, PP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- SAP SD certification is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in configuring key SAP SD components such as:
- Master Data (Customer, Material, Pricing Conditions)
- Sales Order Processing
- Pricing and Discounts
- Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements
- Shipping and Transportation
- Billing and Invoicing
- Credit Management
- Sales Information System (SIS)
- Understanding of business processes related to sales and distribution.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is advantageous.
