Summary

Assists and coordinates the work of the group of airways communicators engaged in operating the
International flight operations briefing station during the shift.
Compiles, organizes the updates NOTAM, manuals, AIPrsquos, aeronautical charts and maps for ready reference for aircrews, airlines and aircraft operating agencies representatives and other personnel responsible for the provision of flight briefing service.
Process and prepares messages with accuracy and adherence to prescribed ICAO message formats and data conventions.
Identifies ICAO codes, abbreviations, signals and location indicators.
Assists the Pilots and duly authorized airline representatives or aircraft operating agencies in flight planning to ensure completeness and accuracy of required data in the flight plan.
Provides meteorological and aeronautical information concerning regulations and procedures availability of en-route navaids communications facilities, hazards to navigation and other warnings, availability of search and rescue facilities etc.
Ensures the flight plans are accurately addressed to all agencies concerned at airport of destination and to all stations concerned along the route of flight.
Provides post flight briefing service to obtain information on status of navaids and other air traffic services observed by arriving pilots along the route of flight.
Provides information about existing warnings and restricted areas, special regulations and procedures that will affect the proposed flight.
Provides NOTAM information concerning the operational status of en-route navigational aids, status of terminal facilities and services at destination and alternate aerodromes.
