• Provided round the clock supervision to switchyard’s equipment which includes air blast, SF6 gas circuit breakers, transformers and lightning arrestors to ensure they are working appropriately.
• Routine Inspection of all C.T’s, P.T’s, isolators, bushings, power transformers and circuit breakers and other equipment by reporting for maintenance of required oil or air pressure levels.
• Participated in testing and commissioning activities at the power station and validated operational performance meets specified technical and quality standards.
• Observed working of different types of relays such as differential, over current/ voltage; documented and instantly reported significant variations to seniors for remediation.
• Actively participated in a variety of tests which include megger, TTR, TF oil test, short/ open circuit test, magnetic current test, heat run test, phase sequence test and rpm test to develop subject expertise.
• Assisted by seniors in handling day-to-day engineering tasks, applied conceptual engineering knowledge into practical business environment while concentrated on implementation of safe working practices at all times.
