Responsible for Factory Maintenance Engineering & Operation
• Installation & maintenance of open cooler fridges.
• Refurbish and upgrade ex market fridges cases 2,000 divisionally per annum.
• Upgrade old refrigeration decks to current specification 2,000 divisionally per annum.
• Attend fridge breakdown job request within 24 hours; complete all jobs within 48 hours.
• Preventive maintenance on cold store plant and equipment within 3 days of receiving job request, Monitor on a monthly basis.
• Preventive maintenance on all market fridges annually and monitor on weekly basis.
• Fridges placement and removal from the market within 5 days of the receipt of the request from sales Monitor and report on a weekly basis.
• Maintenance & service of transport refrigeration and car air condition.
• Assist Workers in diagnosing malfunctions in HVACs, Decks, Transport Refrigeration and equipment based on observation of Cooling Units and apply knowledge from past experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Requisition and keep supply of spare parts.
• Coordinates activities of workers engaged in installation and repairing of cooling units and send reports to regional office, monitor on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Perform difficult technical work supervising and scheduling the installation, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air handling equipment in hospital, offices, and hotels.
• Plan, assign, inspect and supervise maintenance, repair and construction activities; maintain records and files; prepare reports.
• Assign and distribute work orders and work requests.
• Attend and participate in meetings regarding work to be done; attend training classes.
• Checks and troubleshoot equipment; set and adjust control in hotels.
• Review all work orders before and after completion.
• Order and pick up parts for jobs in order to keep mechanics on the job.
• Inspect contacted work as needed.
• Coordinate work with other shops as needed.
• Assist in budget planning and preparation.
• Inform supervisor of completed and outstanding work orders.
• Cooperate with warehouse to determine which parts should be ordered for stock.
• Determine time and cost estimates for HVACR jobs.
• Provide technical assistance to mechanics when requested.
• Perform related work as required.
• Plan, Inspect and train workers about site safety.
