Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a senior network engineer. This position's responsibility is to design, implement, and maintain functional and secure converged networks. This position is part of the project engineering team, which participates in the project's different activities to ultimately install and hand over the infrastructure network for our projects and clients.

Senior Network Engineer is expected to have a thorough knowledge of the network architecture and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design converged network infrastructure (LAN, WAN) based on the project’s requirements and client needs.
• Design the security policies for network infrastructure (LAN, WAN) based on the project’s requirements and client needs.
• Participate with teams of other related IP based systems, such as IPTEL and IPTV systems to identify the network infrastructure solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Create HLD (High Level design) & LLD (Low Level Design) for the network infrastructure match with project needs.
• Prepare the installation method of statement & technical document to get the required approval to be used as reference during the execution phase.
• Set closely with client/stakeholders to address the different challenges and to propose the required solutions.
• Actively engage with project management activities (planning, execution, monitoring and closing) on the network infrastructure scope.
• Install and configure the network switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Implement Network access control (NAC) and ClearPass Solutions.
• Implement device hardening to protect the network and to meet information security compliance.
• Manage the network and monitor network performance and integrity.
• Perform the required test plan and procedure as part of the network infrastructure inspection plan.
• Maintain complete technical documentation and write a professional report for network infrastructure handover.
• Resolve issues as technical support by troubleshooting the network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Security).

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Professional advanced-level experience with switching and routing including L2/L3 protocols.
• Advanced knowledge in the following areas: TCP/IP, VLANs, IP Routing, OSPF, BGP, VRF, MPLS,
• Cisco VSS, Nexus vPC, Cisco Stack-Wise, Aruba VSX, Multicast, Spanning Tree, RSTP/MSTP, QoS,
• client VPN and site-to-site VPN.
• Advanced knowledge in the areas of firewall and UTM security policies.
• Strong understanding and experience in network architecture design.
• Strong knowledge in Security, NAC and ClearPass.
• Good knowledge in Network link load balancers.
• Good Knowledge in network bandwidth managers.
• Good understanding of the different network technologies - Cisco, Aruba.
• Knowledge of competitive products, solutions, and services.
• Advanced level knowledge of industry-standard CLI.
• Understanding of 802.11 frames and protocols, RF fundamentals, 802.11 Network Architecture, and Wireless Access points.
• Strong experience working in projects for network infrastructure.
• Advanced experience in meeting with clients and stakeholders.
• Advanced level in documentation and reports.
• Team leadership capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS/ CERTIFICATES:

• Bachelor's degree [Computer Science/Computer, Electrical, Telecom Engineering].
• CCNA Certification.
• CCNP Certification.
• Aruba Certification.
• Fortinet Course/Certification.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 6 years+ experience with L2/L3 networking design and implementation solutions.
