Job Description

  1. Review Ideas on a daily basis, complete the Daily Tasks, and challenge the system for logical decisions.
  1. Directs all activities of Reservations staff.
  2. Ensures that the training and development of Reservations Team is carried out and recorded properly.
  1. Organize and prepare the weekly Yield Meeting with the inclusion of Ideas reports and data.
  1. Ensure the application of Yield Management to maximize Hotel Revenue.
  2. Ensure all pertinent information is recorded and given to all Reservations personnel.
  3. Ensure all guests receive bookings.
  1. Ensure all reservations are correctly entered into computer.
  2. Ensure daily input of individual reservations is correctly entered into computer.
  3. Ensure all correspondence for reservations is filed.
  4. Ensure group reservations, group operations, and VIP reservations are handled according to procedure.
  1. Ensure that reservations routed through the Executive Office are properly maintained.
  1. Ensure that all correspondence is on hand for all arrivals, any adjustments are in order; maintain filing systems and archiving of all reservations correspondences.
  2. Coordinate with Credit Department regarding the city ledger accounts and other issues related to credits if corporate accounts.
  3. Ensure all Reservations personnel are properly trained,
  4. Preparation of the weekly schedule for the reservations team.
  5. Management of Holidex Plus within but not limited to loading and controlling of inventory, rate categories and quality arrivals,
  6. Attend yield meetings, TQM, Revenue rooms and provide inputs according to internal and external affairs.
  1. Communicate promotions to all F.O. team members.
  2. Maintain a record of No Show and Cancellations report.
  3. Compile Monthly reports.
  4. Ensure that UFO techniques are being applied by all reservations team
  5. Motivate/ hands on manager
  6. Maintain excellent employee relations within area and outside department ( Man Management)
  7. Reports anything considered a health or safety hazard & be aware of the EHC Health & Safety Policy.
  8. Apply standards of EHC pertaining to reservations.
  9. Forward a list of special requests / rates, upgrades requested by Co. / Management etc. Keep track of complimentary room nights, file reports.
  10. Ensure that the ERBP is adhered to and followed accordingly.
  11. As a team player, I also carry out any other reasonable requests and activities associated with ensuring we exceed the expectations of our guests and the successful running of my department and Hotel.
As a member of my team, I continually strive to deliver the highest quality of service to my customers whilst adhering to all legal rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Hotel.
