Job Description

  1. Receive guests, introduce them, present his business card and escort guests for check in.
  2. Welcome guests with recognition if they are repeat clients, inquire on their well being and show a " been expecting them attitude "
  3. Seats the guest in designated area and offers refreshments, (tea, coffee, juices, etc.)

  1. Butler informs guests (throughout the day tea, coffee and soft drinks, juice, mineral water, and a selection of light snacks will be available, smoking and non-smoking area, business area facilities, afternoon tea refreshments between 15:00 to 17:00 hrs, cocktails, and canapés will be available between 18:00 to 20:00 hrs.

  1. Escort guests to the room after instant check in.
  2. Explain the facilities of the room, offers to unpack the luggage, hands over form to be filled in (requiring information regarding wake up call choice of tea, coffee, juices, newspaper, limousine requirements, laundry, turndown service / time required, DND etc.)

  1. Collect the above slip and distribute to various concerned departments for action.

  1. Check with guests if any preference for a specific pillow and enumerates the different varieties we have: feather, cotton, fiber, hard foam

  1. Inform guests how long he would be available on duty and the next contact butler's name and extension number on which they can be reached.
  2. In case children are accompanying parents inform them on the selection of games, children entertainment available at the lounge.

  1. Prior to guest arrival, inspect guest room and set up guest amenities as per EHC standard.

  1. Keep records of guest comments/ preferences in the course of guest contacts and ensure it is updated in guest profiles.

  1. Handle guest requests in a timely and professional manner, coordinating hotel services with the appropriate department.
  2. Promote in house promotions and events along with other facilities and services within the hotel.

  1. Maintain personal guest contact by being visible on the floors, using guest name whenever appropriate.

  1. Handle guest complaints and refers them to the appropriate department. Follow up with the guest to ensure satisfaction.

  1. Replenish guest amenities as per EHC standard.
  2. Accept simple chores as maybe requested by the guest.
  3. Deliver and reinforce the standard to achieve worldwide consistency of the program.
  4. Report all daily activities in logbook to ensure log and guest request, complaints, and preferences are being followed up.
  5. Ensure Butler Pantry is in good order and properly stocked at all times.
  6. Report anything considered as health or safety hazard to be aware of the ISO Health & Safety policy.

Perform other duties as maybe assigned
