Job Description

Role/Objectives & scope

1)Leadership of operational/organizational activities for the business unit

2)Act as communication hub and channel between GSA and the Principal

3)The scope of the job covers both Sales and Operational side of the business

4)Delivery of sales turnover, revenue and profit targets set out in strategic business plans, and rolling financial budgets

5)Develop relationship with GACA, Airport authorities , IATA’s regional representative in Saudi Arabia for getting the assistance on various fronts.

A) Sales:

1.Develop an efficient sales program to ensure the achievement of the targeted sales forecasts

2.Lead the sales team, keep a tab on the number of sales calls, tracking of materialization ratio

3.Monitor and keep aware of competitors ‘sales and products strategies’ in the market

4.Identify and communicate areas of improvement

5.Coordinating and resolving customer services issues in a manner that retains the customer and provides the opportunity to increase revenue in the future

6.Offering after sales support services

7.Extremely good networking and PR with the Travel Agents, and airlines in Saudi Arabia’s market

8.Suggest any changes to the sales strategy, policies and procedures

B) Operations:

1.Effective management of current, critical issues, directly impacting upon business, and ensure customer care and service recovery processes

2.Achieve maximum output and profitability in all functions

3.People performance and development with an emphasize on the training

a) review meetings

b) in-house training, on the spot feed-back and coaching

c) product and customer service training

d) telephone selling, switch and up-selling skills

e) Sales process lead-match-find out –close

4.Close coordination with the accounts department, and ensure timely reporting of the documents

5.Smooth flow of communication regularly with head office and regular monthly business report

Key Performance Indicators

ü Develop core teams for both sales and operations

ü Shop Management – infrastructure, manpower, window display, signage, merchandizing and look and feel

ü Submit the sales phasing for achieving the budget of GSA Airlines.

ü Travel Agents – Relationship Management

ü BSP / IATA /GACA / Airport Authorities – Relationship Management

ü Arranging MIS Reports

a) GSA Performance

b) BSP Agents Performance

c) Territory Performance

ü Achieve steady growth of sales on the airlines

ü Instill discipline and commercial culture among team members

ü Operational systems and mechanisms

ü Monthly business report to be submitted by 10th day of each calendar month for the previous month

ü Enhance staff productivity

ü Close co-ordination with back office and support personnel within the company
