Scaffolder
Puts up and takes down scaffolding that allows workers to reach higher levels during construction, maintenance or cleaning tasks.
Typial Day/Duties.
Unloads scaffolding equipment
Sets up base plates and scaffolding poles
Fixes the scaffolding to the structure to make it stable
Lays planks (walkways) along the scaffolding
Fixes guard rails and safety netting
Takes down the scaffolding at the end of the job

Works for specialist companies or construction firms who provide scaffolding services both offshore and onshore. By the nature of activity, most of the work is conducted outside and involves working in all weathers.
Basic entry requirements include (necessary)
NVQ Level 2 in Access and Rigging Operations
Offshore survival certificate
Offshore Medical certificate
