• Assume governance on implementation, maintenance and controlling of the Siemens Internal
Control Program on Export Control and Customs (ICP) within Siemens ‹legal entity›
• Implementation of national legal regulations into internal ‹legal entity regulations
• Analysis of business and logistic processes regarding Export Control and Customs relevant issues
And alignment of these processes, including integration of Export Control and Customs tools into
local IT systems (master data bases and order processing systems, including establishment and
maintenance of system documentation, e.g. SPS implementation guideline, master data
documentation guideline, change request processes, etc.)
• Creation of ‹legal entity›-specific training conception and program based on Siemens Company
internal and legal requirements including training of employees
• Permanent information update of employees concerning Export Control and Customs
• Involvement in the process of checking end use and end user, according to Export Control and
Customs guidelines
• Preparation and handling of export licenses as well as fulfillment of license conditions
• Implementation of regulations (developed by ECC ONE) for and controlling of Customs security
programs
• Identification of goods received pursuant to customs regulations in accordance with Regional /
Sector company- specific regulations
• Monitoring of relevant data for customs and customs value declarations
• Review of customs value by means of account reconciliation
• Development and maintenance of export control and customs relevant product master data
• Conducting regular spot checks (monthly)

within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
• Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Employee Services,
etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
Consults with the corporate attorney as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues.
• Develops and periodically reviews and updates Standards of Conduct to ensure continuing currency
and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees.
• Ensuring there is appropriate export authorisation in place in order to support the export of parts and technology.
• Maintain detailed knowledge and understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations. (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
• Manage the day to day exports activity ensuring exports are made under export authorisations and are done so compliantly.
• Conduct regular reviews of export authorisations to ensure the proper authorisations are in place and exports are compliant.
• Provide training courses on export compliance to raise awareness and strengthen compliance throughout the business.
• Assist with the implementation of export control processes, work instructions and control plans
• Conduct investigations, draft disclosures and reporting and managing violations of the export regulations.
• Implement compliance control plans.
