The position requires the ability to teach undergraduate level of Advertising Creative Design including introductory courses, such as Visual Literacy, Fundamentals of design, Brand identity design, and advanced level courses, such as Advertising campaign concept and strategy design, Editorial design, Motion design, Visual effects, UI/UX design along with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and knowledge of relevant industry and design software. The department seeks to hire an active and engaged faculty member who combines professional expertise with excellence in teaching and research. Those with extensive industry experience are encouraged to apply along with those with an active scientific production.
The faculty will work in a collaborative environment across the disciplines of Advertising, within a constructive relationships and collaboration with colleagues and with students. The successful candidate will be required to provide office hours, serve as an academic adviser for students, contribute to the quality and educational objectives of the program, maintain a strong interest in innovative approaches to teaching strategies, provide community service to the college, foster industry relations and a solid research culture.
Experience in diverse advertising issues such as creative strategy, concept development, brand management creative execution and presentation is preferred. Scientific production in refereed indexed journals in the related fields is a must.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Graphic design, Visual Communication, Advertising, Creative studies, or equivalent areas. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is a must.
Preferred Qualifications: Three years academic or industry experience recommended. Five or more years preferred.
