The Purchase Director will oversee the purchasing function of the organization, ensuring that all procurement activities are carried out in a timely, cost-effective and efficient manner. They will work closely with other departments to ensure that the procurement needs of the organization are met, and that purchasing policies and procedures are followed.
• Develop and implement the organization's purchasing strategy in line with company goals and objectives.
• Identify and source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and develop supplier relationships to ensure the best possible pricing and terms.
• Manage the procurement process, including supplier selection, purchase order generation, order tracking, and delivery tracking.
• Develop and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and manage the purchasing budget, including tracking and reporting on purchasing activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that purchasing activities meet the needs of the organization.
• Manage and lead the purchasing team, providing coaching and mentoring as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and standards.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to lead a team and provide coaching and mentoring as needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
