- Individual contributor or management of a team to undertake specific audit activities, ensures compliance with the audit methodology, quality and homogeneity of the outputs including the audit reports and findings.
- Ensures the audit scope is focused on all areas of the business including Zakat and Tax.
- Review the draft report, provide feedback on the quality of the report, draft findings and additional areas to be analyzed.
- Agree/recommend grading of the audited process
- Review and calibrate all the unsatisfactory reports and provide insights and recommendations on improvements to the Board.
- Gain positive management commitment to the outcomes and recommendations resulting from the audit process.
- Perform the forensic Audit of the transactions.
- Undertake special projects, ad-hoc audits, project reviews, fraud investigations or similar.
- Ensure that the internal audit activity maintains its independence and objectivity.
- Continuous engagement with management to understand the ongoing risks within the business and support them to address it on a timely manners.
- Engage with business to proactively provide advisory and guidance on risks and controls for new projects, programs and initiatives.
- Ensures that the audit scope is targeted and specific
- Ensures that audit recommendations (issues) are limited to areas that will make a real difference to the business
- Identify ideas/input to improve Internal Audit process and methodology
- Interacts with management to ensure commitment on a timely basis.
- Manage the recruitment of new IA team members
- Manage the annual review and mid-year check of the IA team members
- Manage the identification of objectives and definition of the development plan of the IA team members
- Deliver insights and share best practice
- Coordinates with external audit team for interim and year end audits.
