- Establish, implement and maintain complete quality system procedures and processes including Quality Assurance and to run the dept. efficiently and measures performance against established standards.
- Responsible for all the quality activities of the plant.
- Well versed with ARAMCO Approval procedures and should strive to get the company certified by ARAMCO as approved vendor for steel structural fabrication.
- Also responsible for the registrations and to get the company certified by AISC, ASME and other relevant standards organizations.
- Responsible for the effective implementation of ISO system, TQM and ensures that the Quality Manual is properly written and maintained.
- Analyze QC audits and strive for continual improvement.
- Must Possess good knowledge of AWS D1.1 for structural steel fabrication.
- Adopts perfect plan for welder certifications, equipment and tools calibration. Ensures that all new hires are properly trained, developed, and appraises staff effectively and provides updated training as necessary.
- Responsible to establish Project Specific Quality Plan / ITP and for its implementation
- Ensures that all the quality activities are in place and efficient enough to achieve good product quality
- Effectively communicates and resolves issues arising out of the production processes, as related to quality, across all levels of the organization.
- Maintains all project related inspection documentation, and monitors adherence to standards and actively checks for accuracy of data received or generated before passing it on.
- Manage and Execute project documentation. Verifies and confirms that all the documents are in place as per the approved ITP before submitting the project QC file for approval.
- Dynamic in client meetings, communicates effectively, possesses strong knowledge and skills to get the final approval of project quality documentation.
- Investigates, analyzes and makes recommendations on product related problems.
- Consults & reviews with the Plant Manager & Engineering personnel for any modifications to improve production & quality of products.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years experienced in Structural Steel Fabrication
- Steel Tanks experience will be added advantage
- Excellent knowledge of general steel fabrication practices and processes, including welding and well versed in the standards AWS D1.1, AISC, ASME, ASTM and ASME.
- Knowledge of ARAMCO Standards and relevant procedures
- Must have knowledge of the American Welding Society AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code.
- Must possess exceptional leadership, communication, written and verbal presentation, and team-building skills.
