The Business Development Director is responsible for establishing and developing commercial strategies and partnerships in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to accelerate the growth of Getty Images products and services.
Who You Are:
As well as leading sales and client-relationship management, you will track market trends, grow new strategic partnerships, and help guide the long-term objectives to meet business requirements.
Are you adept in utilising a combination of sales, strategy and deal-making experience in order to identify and build relationships with senior stakeholders across the sport, entertainment, culture, and corporate sectors? Previous experience operating within the KSA is crucial to the role, in addition to holding contacts at senior positions across Government Ministries. The successful candidate is self-directed, results-oriented, and comfortable working across different sectors, products, and cultures.
Your Next Challenge:
- We are seeking an individual who can develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with sport and entertainment, culture and corporate sectors technology to ensure our products evolve with the market.
- Identifying, negotiating, and driving a wide array of new business partnerships, including visual consultancy, visual strategy execution, content licensing, content subscriptions, bespoke assignments and distribution partnerships.
- Managing the entire deal process from prospecting to initial meetings with customers and works closely with internal departments, including Legal, Editorial Content, Product, Finance, Technology and Sales.
- Leveraging sales tools and subject matter experts across Getty Images available to drive successful outcomes.
- Managing the day-to-day operation of new customer relationships and strategic partnerships post-launch.
- Maintaining an awareness of the latest industry trends, products, services, and competitors and communicating these effectively and regularly to senior management.
- Increasing Getty Images’ exposure in KSA by participating in relevant trade shows, conventions, and events and, where appropriate, contributing to these activities by taking advantage of speaking opportunities.
- Establishing measurements and metrics, and communicating these through monthly reports, assessing and informing on the sales impact and overall success of corporate relationships and other strategic initiatives.
What You’ll Need:
- Desired 10 years of relevant and/or management experience in this field.
- Experience interacting with senior executives in relevant industries in the KSA.
- Strong cultural awareness as result of direct experience working within the KSA.
- Experience with global markets and brands is preferred.
- Experience in visual content or music licensing industry a plus.
- Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong strategic planning skills and excellent general business sense.
- Strong negotiation and contract development skills.
- Ability to learn vital core technology and business initiatives quickly.
- Outstanding writing and presentation skills across all media.
