Develop an airport operations team culture focused on customer service, safety, security and continuous improvement.
Optimize the use of existing facilities to ensure delivery to customers on the day whilst also identifying improvements in processes and future capacity requirements
Implementation and administration of the airlines airport policies and procedures including but not limited training programs for related service suppliers at the airport.
Effectively manage, monitor and measure the operational performance and service levels of the ground handling agent providing regular feedback with a view to continuous improvement.
Ongoing focus on driving, developing and implementing cost reduction strategies within the airport operation without compromise to safety and quality of operations.
As required, undertake periodic audits of all service suppliers in respect to the airlines operational and customer service deliverables.
Proactively and efficiently handling customer complaints and resolve such issues within reason, to the satisfaction of both the customer and airline.
Plan the budgetary requirements for the network in consultation with Director Ground Operations and Finance department.
Work within budget to ensure the airport operations delivers on the airlines business plan requirements with CAPEX and OPEX targets.
Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships with airport authorities, police, customs, immigration and other related departments.
In conjunction with the Director of Ground Operations participate in periodic reviews and appraisals in relation to performance evaluations of the airlines airport staff and external suppliers.
Work with HR to manage the recruitment and selection of, induction/on-boarding process and probation of new hires.
Ensure all people management issues and challenges are managed in line with local employment policies with the support of the HR department.
Plan for and manage development initiatives for team through experience, exposure, coaching and mentoring.
Effectively coordinate with service providers and airport agencies on all airport operational planning requirements, ensuring the correct deployment of manpower and resources across the operation in keeping with the airlines agreed performance requirements.
Internal – Finanxce, marketing, IOCC, engineering and as required SMT in shaping change strategies.
Provide timely information updates as required to ensure all concerned, both within and outside the organization, are kept up to date on
airlines operational requirements,
new regulatory requirements and amendments.
Plan, develop and direct suitable training programs across all airports to ensure staff and external suppliers can deliver the required service outcomes in keeping with the airlines customer service philosophy.
Implementing best in class products through use of digital & mobile operating platofrms & systems.
Plan periodic audits across the network to ensure operational deliverables.
