Production Technician
Production Technicians operate equipment and systems which process oil or gas.
Typial Day/Duties.
Operates the plant, utilities and equipment used for processing Oil/Gas
Prepares plant/equipment for maintenance
Carries out site checks and risk assessments before starting work
Produces reports on how much oil or gas is being produced
Responsible for the safety of themselves and their team.
How this role fits in with the rest of the industry.
This role is vital to the safe and effective delivery of production in the Oil and Gas Industry. This role can be based at an onshore based oil and gas processing facility or an offshore production facility.
Basic entry requirements include (necessary)
Recognised Trade Apprenticeship and/or
NVQ/SVQ Level 3 certification or equivalent and/or
OPITO / ECITB Technician Training Scheme
Offshore survival certificate and offshore medical certificate (if required to work offshore)

Typical starting salary may be in the region of
AED18,000 - AED25,000 onshore. AED25,000 + offshore
Typical Salary once experienced
AED45,000 – AED60,000

Lead Production Technician, Production Supervisor, Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) or a Plant Manager.
