Curatorial Assistant
The Curatorial assistant provides support to Curators and Head of Collections in managing collections and exhibitions of artefacts or works of art. This includes dealing with the acquisition and procurement of objects, care and display of items with the aim of informing and educating the public. The Curatorial assistant is expected to: demonstrate and understanding of museum field and its key players (artists, curators, collectors, galleries, art institutions and donors); gather and analyze art historical and scholarly texts, visual and object location information, and budgetary data, compiled in order to initiate and implement exhibitions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in The humanities (Museum studies, Fine arts, Classical studies, History and Islamic studies, Anthropology and Social studies), Natural studies (Biology, Geology, Natural sciences); or an equivalent combination of education and job related experience.
Required Experience:
At least 12 months of work experience in museum/gallery/library/archive is crucial (it may also be through an internship or voluntary).
Required Skills:
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written, because writing and editing texts, emailing, and presentations are a major part of the job). Besides, accuracy, meeting deadlines, team working, multi-tasking approach, strong motivation and willing to learn. Preferential knowledge of Arabic Language.
