- System administration experience in AIX environments AIX7.1 and AIX7.2.Proficient in tasks such as shell scripting, creating cron jobs, analyzing log files, managing user accounts and groups, configuring SEA (Shared Ethernet Adapters).Solid experience in IBM PowerMachines 8 & 9.S
- olid experience in IBM PowerVC, IBM PowerVM, LPM, and DLPAR technologies.
- Analysis skills for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Experience in High Availability and VIO’s.
- Daily routine system monitoring and adding resources and space as per request.
- Good experience with Network Installation Manager (NIM).
- AIX patching and security hardening.AIX Certified System Administrator (CSA).Logical Volume Manager related tasks (LVM).
- Experience with installing Red Hat on IBM PowerMachines is an added advantage.
- Red Hat administration knowledge is a plus.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery plans.
