• Plans, directs and coordinates all civil related jobs in Project/Site/Plant facilities; analyses jobs to be performed and assigns manpower, selects necessary tools and equipment required for the job.
  • Ensures that all related civil jobs in any assigned project are carried out safely and on time.  Participates in the planning and execution of major project.
  • Participates in the review and preparation of plant modifications or projects, including reviewing designs and scopes of work.  Maybe asked to evaluate or assist in bid preparation or bid evaluation.
  • Coordinates with safety and operations departments and strictly adheres to the work and “sign off” all completed works.
  • Coordinates with other department regarding jobs that will require involvement of other discipline areas, i.e., electrical, instrument, mechanical.
  • Reviews technical designs and specifications for modifications/ installations, and discusses, evaluates and supervises the work to be carried out.
  • Provides technical advice and direction, investigating and diagnosing complex or recurring technical faults.
  • Assists in assigning duties and establishing shift rosters when required.
  • Sees to it that all activities are performed in accordance with client’s safety rules and equipment used is as per plant’s safety standards.
  • Maintains satisfactory standards of housekeeping in his area of responsibility during and at job completion.
  • Prepares and maintains records and reports.
  • Provides inputs to subordinates’ performance evaluation.
  • Provides on-the-job training as and when required.
  • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the immediate supervisor.
