-          Analyze the demand forecast for the assigned product range / brand and suggests the Procurement plan and budget of the year for the procurement manager.

-          Coordinates with the demand planner and works closely with him to challenge the submitted forecasts and judge the possibility of achievement before being formally approved by management.

-          Negotiate the best cost from suppliers and ensure the availability of products on time.

-          Achieve the set targets for overall inventory turns per year for the assigned product range /brand.

-          Analyze trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine correct timing of purchases (applies to commodity buying / manufacturing)

-          Verify accuracy of computerized purchasing records.

-          Ensures that the purchase orders are in compliance with corporate policy.

-          Maintain accurate purchase order prices and vendor cataloging.

-          Maintains an eye on stock levels to ensure that shortages are avoided.

-          Issues proper alerts and amends the orders schedule based on the stock review and negotiates with suppliers to avoid any penalties or minimize them if any.

-          Identify and optimize common inventories among facilities.

-          Maintain regular contact with suppliers to resolve any problem, identify new business opportunities and improve service levels and efficiency.

-          Maintain awareness of new developments in procurement field to ensure that the company continues to achieve the most efficient buying process.

-          Develop and submit update reports to procurement about the general procurement operation and budgets while highlighting special alerts for important developments.

-     Review and ensure that the documentation process and makes sure that no mistakes, delays or problems arise.

-      Develops timely summary reports to the procurement manager to brief him about the achievement vs. forecast and impacts on suppliers due to any deviations.

 Keep the procurement manager informed about the developments on supplier’s price moves and their impact on the budget.
