Role Purpose:
A senior contract specialist provides management assistance of all commercial contracts and other document management functions. This position is responsible to manage and oversee the intake process for purchasing contracts and schedule request for modifications, redlines and other customer requested changes on a national level. The senior contract specialist supports all supplier contracts with concentration with customers satisfaction. The senior contract specialist reports to the senior contract manager and works closely with all functional work groups. The contract process is time sensitive and revenue generating often dictated by customers, so this position requires excellent organizational skills and focus to meet deadlines. Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

• Planning:
- Must be able to develop, coordinate and control multiple process and or projects, achieving on time contracting services to satisfy the operating
requirements of the Company.

- Identify customer needs/requests

•Negotiations
-Must be adept at communicating with internal business partners to establish and maintain credibility for the contracting function, while increasing service to our external business partners - improving functionality process and mitigate risk.

• Reporting and Control
- Managing all aspects of the contract process which includes maintaining the intake queue, initial review for scope, priority and assignment.
- Clarify any discrepancies as they arise and adjust in a timely manner to avoid further issues.

• Communication and follow-up
- Must be able to develop, coordinate and control multiple process and or projects, achieving on time contracting services to satisfy the operating requirements of the Company.
- Coordinate and ensure contract compliance

• Risk & Gap analysis
-Ability to analyze gaps and risks in supplier contracts and see interdependencies between various provisions and the underlying business proposition.
• Review & approve
- Review and approve certain low risk non-standard provisions within established standards agreed by legal.
• Leadership
- Must have strong leadership and team building skills to integrate and motivate staff from different groups to work together in achieving process objectives and project goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time constrained projects effectively

(Necessary Knowledge and Experience)

• 7+ years’ experience in negotiation, revision, and finalization of simple and complex contracts.
• Excellent English written and communication
• Extremely comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Resourceful
• Work Comfortably in a supplier follow up Environment
• Training in formal settings and informally through ongoing contract in best contract handling and contracting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
