Job Description

Role Purpose:

Manage all regional quality, safety, health, and environment associated activities as per NUPCO’s associated SOPs, and relevant regulations and standards (SFDA, GDP, ISO, OSHA, etc.)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:

- Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment Process Compliance:

  • Develop existing policies and procedures to ensure to maintain a health, safety, environment and quality policy
  • Provide subject matter knowledge, advice and guidance for best practice health and safety
  • Review update and continually improving existing health, safety, environment and quality management systems
  • Evaluate and analyze quality issues in the warehouse and introduce corrective and preventive actions
  • Handle quality related customer complaints and NCR
  • Liaise with management and staff to ensure continued QHSE integration into core operations
  • Monitor and ensure that all quality, health, safety and environmental legislation is complied with and ensure a safe working environment for all team members within a busy warehousing and service environment
  • Implement continuous improvement concept (i.e. Six Sigma) to improve processes and procedures
  • Ensure warehouse stays safe and clean (e.g. 5S)
  • Analyze and resolve any on-site work-related issues
  • Any related activity assigned by the warehouse management

- Reporting and Control:

  • Monitor related key performance metrics and ensure compliance
  • Monitor related process compliance with SLA, GDP, and all relevant laws and regulations and reports any discrepancies.

Necessary Knowledge and Experience

  • +5 year of experience health, safety, environmental and quality professional, with experience gained in a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Have working knowledge of management systems (ideally OHSAS 18001, or ISO 14001 or ISO 9001)
  • Green-belt Six Sigma Certification
