Role Purpose: To operate the Sugar Receiving / Silo and Sugar Dissolving operations, inspection and monitoring activities in accordance to PI quality and food safety requirements and specifications in line with Quality Management System strategy.

  1. Conducts Incoming Sugar Inspection and Quality Checks / Process Simple Syrup / laboratory functions, Silo operational and monitoring activities that ensure the on time delivery of accurate analytical results, sensory, sugar transfer, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), and ERP.
  2. Receives and inspects Incoming Sugar deliveries. Verifies deliveries as per PO. Operates the Silo, Sugar Dissolving and Pasteurization process conditions and conducts physio-chemical tests for sugar and simple syrup using approved procedures at required frequencies.
  3. Monitors specific syrup production CCPs and OPRPs. Monitors pasteurization of simple syrup to comply with the prescribed heating temperature and contract time.
  4. Operates lab instruments and equipment; coordinates with Syrup Production Section Head for the accurate and timely execution of work.
  5. Calibrates and maintains tools and equipment; reports any abnormalities of equipment. Prepares and standardizes chemical reagents.
  6. Participates in the quality and food safety risk assessments.
  7. Participates in the implementation of strategic projects that contribute to the continuous improvement of the business, quality, and people.
  8. Helps ensure consistent adherence to SOPs by the process owners, and ensures compliance to 3-D, M&W, AIBI, FSSC22000 standards, HSE, WCM, GMP, GLP, Local Regulatory Requirements and PepsiCo Best Practice Tools.

Skills

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

1. Technical Diploma in any Science-related courses.
2. Preferably with FMCG manufacturing experience in Syrup Production an added advantage.
3. Intermediate level in English communication (oral and written).
4. Computer proficient
