Job Description

Job Purpose

To take housekeeping related orders from all rooms, ensuring that service is prompt, professional and courteous, to the standards laid down by the Hotel.


Policies, Processes & Procedures

  • Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

Day- to-day operations

  • Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work


  • Takes orders correctly, courteously and actioned without delay to ensure sufficient and fast expedition of orders, particularly during peak periods

  • Prepares duty rosters and ensure that correct manning levels are maintained and work is evenly distributed

  • Familiars with daily functions and ensure that all necessary arrangements are made: Normal furniture removed when necessary, special cleaning arrangements, all necessary equipment in position, i.e. tables, chairs, portable bains-marie, hot plates, etc.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement


  • Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of ELAF to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards

Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

Related Assignments

  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Qualification & Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • School Education

Minimum Experience:

  • 0-2 years relevant experience in Housekeeping



English Language - Intermediate

Knowledge of Policy & Procedure - Basic

Financial Awareness - Basic

Data Gathering & Analysis - Basic
