Health and Safety Advisors provide advice and guidance to the Company to help prevent accidents, injuries and health issues in the workplace and promote safe working practices on and offshore.
Typial Day/Duties.
Develops Health and Safety policies and procedures
Makes regular inspections of the workplace, site or plant and conducts risk assessments
Provides support and advice regarding health and safety considerations
Provides advice to staff regarding protective clothing
Provides advice on the measures a company can take to improve the safety of their environment
Investigates incidents or accidents and makes recommendations/writes reports
Trains staff to ensure that they are fully competent regarding health and safety issues
Ensure the Company is able to respond effectively to emergency situations
Liaises with the Health and Safety Executive and other governing bodies

The role of the Health and Safety Advisor is critical to the industry as it provides essential knowledge, advice and support by promoting continuous improvement and safe working practices onshore and offshore. May be required to make offshore or site visits.
Basic entry requirements include (necessary)
National Examinations Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or other recognised health and safety qualification)

Degree or Diploma in a related subject
Typical starting salary may be in the region of
AED23,000 - AED30,000
Typical Salary once experienced
AED35,000 upwards
