Crane Operator
Operates pedestal cranes mainly offshore but also onshore in yards, marine bases, etc.
Typial Day/Duties.
Competently and safely operates cranes under the direction of platform/vessel personnel.
Operates cranes within the maximum permitted rating and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and operating procedures at all times.
Carries out daily routine checks on the crane in accordance with the maintenance procedures and pre-start check list.
Maintains cranes in a clean, tidy and watertight condition and ensure external and internal paintwork is corrosion free at all times.
Instructs and assists maintenance personnel in crane maintenance and repair activities as required.

The movement of equipment offshore and onshore is essential to ensuring operations are maintained and that equipment and supplies are delivered to offshore installations safely and in a timely manner.
Basic entry requirements include (necessary)
Previous experience usually gained in deck/marine/harbour operations
Good understanding of regulations and procedures associated with lifting operations
Stage 2 Crane Operator qualified
Basic offshore induction and emergency training (BOSIET)
Offshore Medical Certificate
