Role Summary

  • Lead a group of store managers to maximize their performance towards achieving a world-class service, profitable stores and a highly motivated team. The Area Manager is responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day supervision of stores, including sales, staff, stock, and resources management (including the ones from support functions).

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Participates in preparing Sales Department Budget by providing sales feedback and recommendations for sales improvement and reporting to regional manager.
  2. Participates in defining Sales Targets based on the approved budget by revising last year sales figures (by store of sales line Gross Profit and Cost.), and business assumptions and recommending next year figuresand reporting to regional manager.
  3. Ensures implementation of Sales Programs by communicating set sales targets and (KPIs) to line reports and area teams, monitoring store operations, recommending and directing corrective actions as and when required.
  4. Ensures Stock Level in line with the area sales budget by validating the stock level and varieties availability and following up for the actions required.
  5. Maintains Sales Expenses by reviewing stores expenses and validating for over expenses and identifying area of improvement and taking required action.
  6. Reviews Sales Activities Report by revising, analyzing sales figures from the system, formulating sales reports per store / area to, communicating with store managers, and following up for the agreed actions and updating line mangers for action taken.
  7. Contributes to improve Customer Relations by generating and reviewing various sales reports to analyze the customers’ contact information and purchasing power / visits frequency and following up for implementing the required action for customer relation improvement.
  8. Maintains and improves Sales Channels by reviewing store visit checklist and ensuring that sales activities are in line with the standards and company policy and taking the proper actions for sales channels improvement.
  9. Ensures providing Product Feedback by following up with the merchandising department to ensure that feedback has been taken into consideration in terms of product improvement and the product requested has been provided to the right location.
  10. Ensures attraction of Potential Customers by reviewing and updating customer database and ensuring implementation of sales initiatives for attracting new customers and communicating with existing and potential customers for updating database in coordination with customer service department.

Minimum Requirements / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or any related field
  • 8 yearsof experiencein a managerial position in a related field
  • Any related training
  • English, Arabic
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information professionally
  • Problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
  • Leadership and motivational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure
