Aircraft Turnaround Coordination:Effective aircraft turnaround coordination plays vital role in the OT (On TimePerformance) of the station. It is considered as a critical function and shall be handled bythe staff that is trained, qualifilti, certified as an Aircraft Turnaround Coordinator/ RampSupervisor. Aircraft turnaround coordinator must be a qualified load controller for betterunderstanding of the aircraft loading procedures. SGS Training Department ensures thatthe skills of all SGS Aircraft Turnaround Coordinators shall be refreshed and keep updatedwith the help of continual recurrent trainings on a regular basis.Turnaround Coordinator shall:a. Ensure to provide oversight of personnel conducting airside operations, groundsafety and flight schedule.b. Oversee the aircraft turnaround during ramp/apron activities ensuring the aircraftis handled and serviced according to regulator and customer airline requirements.c. Manage any disruptions and deliver within SLA standards of performance andcompliance limits.d. Ensure Station turnaround plan match all activity sequence delivery within theagreed times.e.Maintain safe and secure processes for the duration of turnaround activities andact as a safety coordinator and as central point of contact with all involved teams.
