Purpose of the Job (Overall accountability)
• To conduct research and analysis regarding the productivity and utilization of resources; including an analysis of the transportation route to determine efficiency and of operations.
• To record information regarding transportation trips to assess productivity and efficiency and to suggest areas of improvement.
Principal responsibilities / accountabilities
• Records trip information regularly and periodically analyzes the productivity and utilization of resources.
• Submits recommendations on areas of improvements and suggests ways to implement improvements.
• Maintains logs of information on fleet, resource utilization and productivity and periodically updates logs.
• Generates timely reports on productivity and monitors driver utilization and submits same to Manager Operations (Central).
• Monitors the allocation of trips to drivers to ensure equal distribution of tasks and optimal utilization of resources.
• Analyses the route to be taken during transportation and assess the number obstacles and maneuvers within the route.
• Recommends the appropriate arrangements to be made regarding obstacles and submits same to the Manager Operations (Central).
• Calculates the duration of each trip as per different routes to arrive at the most suitable route.
• Follows procedures of reporting on performance, budgets and other reports required from time to time to the Manager - Operations (Central).

Skills

Experience​/​s
• Graduate Degree with an additional diploma in Logistics Management
• 2-4 years experience in logistical operations of a reputed logistics company within in the region.
