Job Description

Job Purpose:
To manage construction projects within budget, guidelines, statutory requirements and company procedures
ensuring compliance with HSE policies and customer satisfaction.

Job Objectives:

• Responsible for management of particular project in conformity with client requirement and standards
• Plan, set, follow & achieve the mile stone dates with respect to program chart.
• To represent the organization and enhance relationship in dealings with client consultants and regulatory authorities to ensure all agreements are implemented.
• To maintain records of any extra works undertaken to ensure Company billing covers any additional costs to clients.
• To supervise work teams for effective delivery of daily objectives including the control of works hours, overtime and incentive schemes to improve efficiency.
• To manage resources and equipment to achieve contract completion within budget and time.
• To liaise with the QHSE department for the support for the project safety and or quality to ensure Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environment policy and procedures are covered to client satisfactions.
• To respond to emergencies and take remedial action as required to ensure health, safety and the environment are protected.
• To identify and ensure skills of assigned manpower are aligned to project requirements to ensure technically competent personnel for the project.
• To participate in regular meetings to identify problems, target dates, issues, delays execution of work to ensure timely project completion.
• Conduct project review meetings.

Skills

• Bachelors in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical, higher studies an advantage.
• Industry experience of 10 to 15 years, priority for candidates with exposure of at least seven years in Offshore Construction / Engineering.
• Ability to work under varying conditions including conducting field work
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Crisis Management.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations for operations like API and health, safety, and environment (HSE).
• Good oral and written communication skills, particularly English.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP), or any other related professional certification, will be a plus.
• Familiarity with project management software and high computer literacy esp. Microsoft Office applications.
• Gulf experience (recent experience preferred) is an advantage.
