Job Description
Key responsibilities:
1. Participate in the preparation of annual business plan, sales, marketing plans and formulation of profit budgets for the department.
2. Ensure successful operations of various Food and Beverage outlets are profitable as per the budgetary guidelines and all standards specified by our company are maintained.
3. Provide the department with leadership, supervision, skill and diplomatically deal with situations involving Food and Beverage where the reputation of our property is represented.
4. Plan, formulate and supervise the implementation of promotions, programs and policies in the department.
5. Conduct the Food and Beverage department daily briefing to review the following day’s events and any other matters that needs to be communicated to the departmental colleagues to assist in the planning, preparation and implementation of the membership campaigns.
6. Regular contributions to Newsletter and company website
The ideal applicant will be:
• An excellent coordinator and provide direction to your colleagues, whilst supporting them to perform to the best of their abilities.
• Highly responsible for the activities across your department.
• Based on your experience, you will be a role model for your colleagues in the Food and Beverage field.
• Need to possess and utilize your inter-personal skills and leadership qualities for the development of your team and welfare of our property.
• Should be able to maximize the team′s productivity and implement advanced methodologies to exceed our guest′s expectations.
Skills
The successful applicant will have:
• A Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management.
• Completed training in Revenue, Cost Control and Leadership and must have completed culinary courses.
Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have:
• Experience of 5 years in a similar role within a five star hotel or Private Club environment.
• Recently attained experience of 3 years in a Food and Beverage management position.
• A highly developed management style and a successful track record in Food and Beverage.
Languages & Desirable Skills
The applicant must be proficient in:
• Written and spoken in English.
• Required to be well versed with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Windows.
• Conversant in another language (preferably Arabic).
• Additionally Familiarity with Micros POS systems would be desirable
