• Arch. Engineer role is to assist the Manager of Arch. Section to successfully establish the new Arch. Section and to undertake all phases, activities and tasks within specified time, cost and quality constraints, to achieve the Company strategic plan objectives.
• Checks, compares, and coordinates all design drawing aspects and implements all in his shop drawings.
• Receives copy of weekly projects minutes of meetings and reflects any requirements in his shop drawings.
• Prepares all Shop Drawings and as built drawings ensuring compliance with the Projects Technical Specifications.
• Attends projects design review meetings.
• Reviews all his part of the project schedules in Comparison to the base line schedule.
• Attends site meetings when called by the Project Manager.
• Ensures that all shop drawings prepared by his section are cost effective and technically sound solutions and ready to be used for execution.
• Responsible for preparing as-built drawings to the satisfaction of Client/Consultant of each and every project.
• Ensures accurate and prompt production of engineering documents and specifications.
• Ensures accurate and timely execution of all the drafting requirements of the various user departments in accordance with established standards and specifications for both shop drawings and as built drawings.
• Ensures proper interpretation of designer’s notes; prepares all drawings, details and revisions in sufficient copies; makes all preliminary arrangements and distribute them to user sections.
• Initiates progress reports of all drafting jobs; submits periodic reports on the work processes and activities of the drafting unit.
• Compiles and keep files of drawings for each project separately.
• Can delegate part of his responsibilities to any of his immediate subordinates after obtaining the approval of the Engineering Manager of Construction.
• Reviews all his part of the project schedules in comparison to the base line schedule.
• Ensures that all shop drawings prepared by his department are cost effective and technically sound solutions.
• Reconciles inter-IBS differences, conflict and problems objectively and in a manner which is beneficial to the total efforts and interests of IBS.
• Conducts business activities within the framework of IBS principles and established policies, plans and procedures.
• Endeavours to possess a thorough understanding of the basic technology and operations of his own and of IBS organization.
• Assigns work and responsibilities to subordinates at levels consistent with the performance standards set in their respective position guides.
• Bachelor Degree in engineering Arch.
• Experience in the Middle East construction industry
• Minimum eight (8) years experience performing Arch. Engineer at senior level position.
