Job Description

1. To approve the duty roster and supervise staff attendance and punctuality.
2. To ensure the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development.
3. To ensure that all employees provide a courteous manner at all times and the conduct of all staff is up to Coral International Al-Khobar standard.
4. To conduct half yearly evaluations for all staff to review their general performances, discuss existing problem and areas for improvement.
5. To ensure that all staff have a complete understanding of and adhere to hotel’s employee handbook rules and regulations.
6. To ensure that all staff have a complete understanding of and adhere to hotel’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
7. To authorize requisitions for the Concierge Department and make sure that the desk is fully equipped at all times.
8. To maintain the Concierge Desk and its equipment and other areas of the Concierge Department in good condition.
9. To be responsible for setting the standards and policies at the desk together with the management and improve quality of service.
10. To supervise the employees within the concerned areas of the Concierge Department ensuring that the correct standards and methods of operation are maintained as stated in the departmental operations manual.
11. To conduct training courses and refresher courses for existing staff
12. To assign trainers to newly hired staff and to other employees on cross training.
13. To coordinate closely with the various department heads as well as within the Front Office section to keep an effective communication.
14. To conduct regular communication meetings.
15. To make decisions and resolve any problems or conflicts which occur in the Concierge Department.
16. To coordinate with the Chief Engineer to ensure proper functioning of all elevators.
17. To coordinate with the Chief Security to maintain a smooth flow of traffic on the ramp at all times.
18. To supervise the maintenance of all hotel cars and taxis.
19. To ensure optimum use of transportation services in terms of transfers, car hire and shuttle service.
20. To ensure proper use of hotel’s parking area.

Skills

 2-3 years experience in the hotel business
 03 years of formal education (minimum)
 Fluency in English (spoken and written)
