The Company Exploration & Petroleum Engineering Technology Department provides an environment for creativity and innovation in the upstream sector by creating new opportunities to find, develop, and produce hydrocarbon resources, developing cost-effective solutions to meet Company′s unique upstream challenges. EPETD is organized into the following technology teams: Geophysics Technology Team, Geology Technology Team, Simulator R&D Team, Drilling Technology Team & Reservoir Technology Team.
Skills
Candidate should hold an advanced degree in petroleum engineering or a closely related subject (e.g., physics or chemical engineering), with a PhD degree being highly preferred. It would be expected that the candidate would have 20-25 years combined experience in the oil industry, academia and/or government employment related to reservoir engineering, with at least 10-15 years devoted primarily to research and development. Excellence in research will be evidenced by the candidate's publications, invited presentations, patents, professional awards and honors, and professional society activities. The candidate would be expected to be experienced in a broad variety of reservoir engineering technology areas, and have worked in a variety of enhanced oil recovery especially in EOR methods for Varity of reservoirs and fluid types. Significant knowledge of other areas of geoscience (e.g., geology, rock physics, etc.) is essential. Of special interest is skill in any or several of the following areas: chemical EOR, miscible and immiscible gas EOR, compositional simulation, PVT, SCAL, wettability and petrophysics. At least minimal computer (programming and PC). International travel is expected.
