The analyst, as a member of the Process and Visualization Support Team, will provide support for reservoir simulation pre & post processing applications, which include applications used for preparing simulation models and for visualizing simulation results. He will make use of his skills to develop, maintain and support applications for visualizing and analyzing simulation results in 1D, 2D and 3D. He will also enhance current applications in order to streamline the process of reservoir simulation.
Primary day to day duties. 1-Develop, maintain, support and enhance Petroleum Engineering software applications in the area of reservoir simulation pre and post processing (SIM Reservoir, TecplotRS, etc). 2-Develop new applications in support of reservoir simulation engineers. 3-Track state-of-the-art technology and apply them to improve services to engineers. 4-Provide training to young analysts with limited experience. 5-Apply information technology to streamline reservoir simulation practices which require a good Petroleum Engineering background. 6-Stay up to date in his knowledge. Skills, experiences required. - Five (5) years experience in C and C++ programming languages. - Five (5) years experience in LINUX/UNIX Operating system. - Five (3) years experience in user-interface design and GUI development using Qt. - Five (3) years of database experience using ORACLE.
