Will be responsible for the safety of rig crews and contracted service personnel numbering as high as 100 people and the loss prevention of well materials and drilling equipment valued in millions of dollars is the direct responsibility of the position. Other responsibilities include fiscal accountability for Our company- owned equipment and materials, timely communications with Drilling Operations headquarters and logistical co-ordination of transportation services, materials movement, well services (Our company and contractor supplied), water support and roads/location support.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Thirteen (13) years relevant experience in drilling and workover operations including supervisory experience generally acquired by progression on a drilling or workover rig. OR 2) A. B.S. degree in Engineering. Seven (7) years of experience working in drilling and workover operations including adequate supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig. Willing to live in remote areas in mobile camps.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Supervises field operation of land and/or Offshore Drilling/Workover rigs, either contractor or Our company-owned, engaged in carrying out programmed work on deep or otherwise critical wells.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Employee should have up-to-date Certification of BOP & Well Control. Should have skill and expertise in deviated drilling including horizontal wells and have experience in the drilling or working over of wells exploratory or development and entail the search for or development of hydrocarbon deposits, principally oil and gas. Has supervised work on wells below 15,000 feet or wells complicated by pressure above 10,000 psi, sour gas. Good command in English (Reading, Writing and spoken).
