Review takeoffs provided by the Contractor and check for mathematical and technical accuracy.
Ø Provides takeoffs when required for most disciplines.
Ø Review Contractors equipment, material and construction labour costs for validity.
Ø Review design, engineering, procurement man-hours and proposed composite rate validity by comparing to historical data.
Ø Initiate communications relating to clarification of quotations.
Ø Review contractual documents and contract modifications to determine if changes in scope of work are valid.
Ø Review and track revisions to contractual documents to determine scope changes during final engineering. Alert management to possible cost increases.
Ø Accumulate cost data to maintain historical database.
Ø Review proposed construction change orders.
Ø Prepares Estimates as required.
