Job Description
• The overall management of Quality, Costs, Service and People with the aid of the maintenance supervisor and technicians across all shifts
• Set up a master maintenance plan in conjunction with maintenance schedules to maintain the plant with-in given engineering standards
• Set up a critical spares program to ensure spares availability for the complete plant.
• Maintain and implement AIB standards with the Aid of the Hygiene Manager
• Identify opportunities and encourage technicians to improve production processes in conjunction with production personnel to drive down costs
• Manage all maintenance personnel i.e. Discipline, Personal Protective Equipment, leave planning and utilization of staff
• The total management of administration issues: Timesheets, following procedures, implementing & using maintenance software, safety inspections and OHS policies.
• Ensure all requirements of the safety policies are adhere too.
• Manage a total maintenance budget annually.
• Maintaining the inventory cost in given targets.
• Encouraging the localisation of spare parts.
Skills
The person should be a self-starter with innovative technical abilities leadership skills. A pro-active mindset is needed to plan and manage an unpredictable and challenging.
Graduate engineer with a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in the FMCG environment and 2 years managerial experience
Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and maintenance software
Technical abilities to resolve complex engineering plant breakdowns
Analytical thinker with the ability to think globally
Knowledge of safety procedures in an FMCG is essential
