Purpose of the Job (Overall accountability) To monitor and manage the operations of the Khobar workshop (MHW) ensuring that the customer service and technical standards of Hyundai are achieved. To ensure the timely and proper completion of repairs to customers′ automobiles and that automobiles are returned to customers in repaired condition. Principal responsibilities / accountabilities• Plans and allocates workshop team members to tasks at the workshop to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality of service provision.• Implements specific performance standards, as stipulated by manager operations of the workshop, in such key areas as maintenance, customer service and repairs; and ensures workshop performance is consistent with these standards.• Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates with other workshop managers to standardize objectives across workshops. • Ensures the adherence to the technical standards of Hyundai and dealership specifications.• Monitors equipment wear and tear / use and initiates preventive maintenance at periodic intervals in order to decrease equipment downtime.• Ensures that breakdown maintenance is conducted efficiently and expeditiously to further reduce downtime loss.• Investigates and addresses customer complaints regarding quality, damage to vehicles, and delays in service delivery.• Inspects all repair orders and ensures required documentation has been completed and proper warranty procedures have been abided by. • Conducts weekly meetings with subordinates to communicate Hyundai updates and any necessary safety issues. • Monitors workshop team expenditure and resource utilization to minimize waste and maintain adherence to cost budget.• Participates in determining the expenditure budget for the workshop and relays accurate expectations of resource needs and workloads to the manager of operations.• Monitors training levels of all workshop staff and communicates concerns to the operations manager. • Ensures that the workshop team is staffed with competent and motivated personnel, and undertakes the guidance and mentoring of all staff to ensure requisite productivity, efficiency, and quality are achieved.• Follows procedures of reporting on performance, budgets and other reports required from time to time to the Manager-OperationsNote: The principal accountabilities listed above are an illustrative list and not an exhaustive list.
