Job Description
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, and production and distribution capabilities.
- Tracking shipments to ensure that goods come in on time.
- Interacts with contracted vendors and end user departments to coordinate, facilitate, and resolve routine day to day purchase issues.
- Prepares simple procurement bids and proposals, to include supporting documentation, for evaluation and justification.
- Validates and reconciles or refers vendor payment discrepancies as appropriate.
- Maintains vendor files and product information.
- May assist with work allocation to and day to day supervision of purchase assistants engaged in similar work.
- Execute the local purchasing requests / contracts approved according required quality and approved price.
- Seek quotations from suppliers / subcontractors and prepare comparative chart to evaluate and approval.
- Negotiate and draft agreement with effective and approved supplier/ subcontractors in coordination with Estimation.
- Direct purchaser and provide requests to get the Local requirements of supplies for the factory.
- Regular update and aware with materials available in main store after reviewing main store inventory list in coordination main storekeeper.
Skills
- 2 to 3 years experience is purchasing,
- Sound experience in evaluating supplier’s quotation and formulating comparison tables.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of business
- Good negotiation skills
- Fluent in Arabic and average ENGLISH
- Computer skills / Proficiency in Windows, Ms. Office and the Internet
- Able to handle pressure.
