JOB SUMMARY:
Participate the ongoing Structural design activates especially shop drawings, IFC design and detailing drawings as per requirements of consultant and client. Must be experienced design and detailing structural steel and reinforced concrete buildings.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists in supervising lower level draftsmen in structural detailing and procedures
2. Produce technical design and detailing drawings based on rough sketches, specification and calculations from engineers, surveyors and architects.
3. Checks and corrects work prepared by others in order to conform to standards, specifications, and design requirements
4. Experience in design review, shop drawings as per consultant and client requirement.
5. Prepare finished drawings for construction work from sketches, specifications, and field notes
6. Prepares structural calculations for reinforcement concrete and analyses of building components
7. Prepares preliminary plans, cost estimates, and specifications based upon requirements of department for which building is planned
8. be vigilant for upcoming scheduled activities in advance to coordinate with 3rd parties in advance for the activities require testing .e.g FDT, concreting and asphalting etc.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned
10. Design change requirements, including but not limited to building structures, steel reinforcement and erection.
11. Identify any deviation in the design and provide justification for the deviation.
12. Experienced in local Jeddah Procedures.
13. be able to prepare quick, simple and accurate hand calculations to check the designing of others.
14. be familiar with US codes
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.
2. Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project.

| Skills Required: |

WORK EXPERIENCE:
6 years structural drafts man experience, structural & RC design and shop drawings. Middle East experience must be considered as priority.
OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Possess good communication skills.
ACADEMIC EDUCATION:
Diploma of structural / Civil Engineering
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook, and Auto Cad is required. Knowledge of popular design software is desirable (Such as SAP).
