JOB SUMMARY:
Participate the ongoing MEP design activates especially shop drawings, design and detailing related to HVAC, small Substation, Electro Mechanical works including firefighting, design and detailing as per requirements of consultant and client.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Produce technical drawings based on rough sketches, specification and calculations from engineers, surveyors and architects and MEP engineers.
2. To critically review the relevant documents prior to start of construction e.g IFC, Project Specification etc
3. Checks and corrects work prepared by others in order to conform to standards, specifications, and design requirements
4. Prepare finished drawings for construction work from sketches, specifications, and field notes
5. Prepares MEP calculations for HVAC drawings, plumbing, piping and small substation and electrical works.
6. Design change requirements, including but not limited to piping, plumbing, fire fighting design
7. Identify any deviation in the design and provide justification for the deviation.
8. Experience in MEP design detailing.
9. Report to design manger as well as MEP manager for smooth coordination for design work
10. Experienced in local Jeddah Procedures
11. be able to prepare quick, simple and accurate hand calculations to check the designing of others.
12. be familiar with US Codes.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.
2. Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project.

| Skills Required: |

WORK EXPERIENCE:
8 years MEP draftsman experience, design and detailing shop drawings experience. Middle East experience must be considered as priority.
OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Possess good communication skills.
ACADEMIC EDUCATION:
Diploma of Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook, and Auto Cad is required. Knowledge of popular design software is desirable such as SAP.
