The Duties would include
• Vetting of all Sub-Contracts and Major Supply Agreement bespoke terms prior to being offered to the Sub-Contractor / Supplier.
• Review of all correspondence received from the Client or Engineer.
• Review of documentation that the Commercial Manager considered had a Contractual Significance.
• Review and defense of a Sub-Contractor claims that may arise.
• Prepare claims against Sub-Contractor, major suppliers and the client.
• Defense of any claims or Cost Savings proposed by the Engineer.
• Identification of any Contractual risks within the Contract, similar to identification of Contractual opportunity.

• The "Contacts Manager" will report to the Commercial Manager and will be degree qualified preferably in a degree that encompasses Construction and Contracts law i.e. BSC Quantity Surveying, Law Degree, and Engineering Degree incorporating Law.
• It is envisaged that the prospective candidates would have at least 15 years’ experience in the construction industry entailing at least 8-10 years as a contract Engineer.
