JOB SUMMARY:
To monitor the ongoing Architectural design activates especially shop drawings, IFC design and detailing drawings as per requirements of consultant and client.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists in supervising lower level draftsmen in architectural design detailing and procedures
3. Checks and corrects work prepared by others in order to conform to standards, specifications, and design requirements
4. Prepare finished drawings for construction work from sketches, specifications, and field notes
5. Proposes, recommends, and justifies changes in materials, construction methods, equipment
Installations, specifications, and architectural drawings
6. Prepares architectural calculations and analyses of building components
7. Confers with representatives of departments for which buildings are planned and with consulting architect to determine needs
10. Performs other related duties as assigned
11. Design change requirements, including but not limited to building sections, Elevations etc
12. Identify any deviation in the design and provide justification for the deviation.
13. Expert in interior design drawing.
14. Coordinate with other design engineers for exterior and interior architectural design requirements
15. be able to prepare quick, simple and accurate hand calculations to check the designing of others.
16. be familiar with US codes.
17. Experienced in local Jeddah procedures.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.
2. Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
6 years architectural drafts man experience, design and shop drawings experience. Middle East experience must be considered as priority.
OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Possess good communication skills.
ACADEMIC EDUCATION:
Diploma of Architectural Engineering
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook, and Auto Cad is required. Knowledge of popular design software is desirable. (Such as SAP)
