Senior Account Director Marcoms – McCann Worldgroup

Upto $150,000 + benefits + low tax regime

A high-profile Strategic B2B Marcoms role working with one of the World’s largest advertising agency networks seconded to a key global B2B client.

IPG comprises a collaborative roster of best-in-class agencies, including McCann Worldgroup, the world’s largest advertising agency network, and the MCN Group across the Middle East and North Africa. FP7/RUH, based in Riyadh.

As Senior Account Director, reporting to the Regional Director, embedded within the client organization. You’ll manage the clients’ global needs from within as well as providing integrated B2B marketing communications planning. Working solely on our client either as an internal marcoms specialist or, alternatively, on business strategy briefing out externally, you’ll be tasked with a full-service approach to delivery of client communications and campaigns.

Key features of the role include:

  1. Strong B2B and corporate communications experience who has worked with large industrial organisations typically petrochemicals, energy, steel, electronics, polymers, fertilisers, transportation and distribution.
  2. Integrated marketing background covering PR, advertising, internal communications, CSR, events and digital channels. Tactical delivery is the majority of the requirement with up to five key pieces of branded work per year.
  3. Client engagement level is mixed from senior global EVP to an event project assistant. Day to day contact will be with business partners who are the go-to internal communications coordinators between the business units and the agency. This means the candidate needs to have a broad bandwidth of tolerance.

This is a role for a real integrated Marcoms heavyweight with a minimum of 8 years’ experience within a B2B agency environment. In-house experience with a corporate entity would be useful or alternatively trade marketing experience within a consumer environment such as house building, automotive dealership, automotive aftercare and FMCG trade sales support. Ability to provide strategic directional support and insight to middle/senior management is key along with experience of planning and executing integrated communications in cross-border and multi-cultural teams. Knowledge of social/digital media channels and ability to work alone - support may be limited so ability to manage a program in its entirety is necessary at times.

Any cultural awareness of the Middle East would be a real advantage; adaptability and willingness to relocate to Riyadh and undertake limited travel is certainly a must.

  • Writing and making presentations for/with middle management
  • Strong writing skills in English
  • Strong IT skills especially an eye for Powerpoint design
  • Ability to undertake some planning, insight gathering and interpretation
  • Project management
  • Financial and administration management
  • Results evaluation and measurement
  • Ability to work alone managing low level tactical requirements as much as high level strategic needs
